Since July, every single poll of the GOP race in Iowa has shown one of two leaders: Donald Trump or Ben Carson.
Every single poll until today, that is.
A new poll from Monmouth University, conducted December 3 through 6, shows Ted Cruz surging into first place. Cruz wins the support of 24 percent of likely GOP caucus-goers, compared with 19 percent for Trump, 17 percent for Rubio, and 13 percent for Carson (who has lost much of his previous support). No other contender tops 6 percent.
