The DOJ announced a wide-ranging civil rights investigation looking into patterns of abuse within the Chicago Police Department in search of violations of federal law and the United States Constitution. The move comes following the release of a video showing Officer Jason Van Dyke shooting black teenager Laquan McDonald 16 times. US Attorney General Loretta Lynch says the department is particularly interested in hearing from community groups and the rank-and-file of the Chicago Police Department. RT’s Manuel Rapalo reports.
