US Christians shifting views on homosexuality

A survey of US Christians shows an overall increase of believers think homosexuality should be tolerated.

According to the Pew Research Center survey, a majority of Christians in the US, 54%, believe society should accept gay sexuality. This is an increase of 10% since a similar study on 2007. This increase is due to younger church members.

‘…Roughly half (51%) of evangelical Protestants in the Millennial generation (born between 1981 and 1996) say homosexuality should be accepted by society, compared with a third of evangelical Baby Boomers and a fifth of evangelicals in the Silent generation,’ the report states.
