It was not the kind of Christmas gift Janet Jackson wanted to give to her fans.
But on Christmas Eve, the singer took to social media to announce the postponement of her upcoming Unbreakable tour – her first tour in several years.
Jackson, 49, says the postponement is because she has to have surgery but does not share with fans what her medical issue is.
‘Hey you guys,’ Jackson wrote. ‘Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring.’
