3. The Main Event: Contemporary Relationships Conference 2016 – Saturday, May 14 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Registration now open!
Research shows we are wired for connection, but most relationship education uses heteronormative assumptions and perspectives. Instead, the 3rd Annual Contemporary Relationships Conference explores the intersections of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, and other factors to understand how great LGBTQ relationships really work. 2016 features a keynote address by Phyllis Randolph Frye – the grandmother of the national transgender political movement and the first openly transgender judge in the country – plus 28 other speakers from 7 states sharing valuable information on a variety of important topics. The conference is open to the LGBTQ public as well as affirming mental health professionals and other allies (earn 6 continuing education credits for attending Saturday only, or earn 9 continuing education credits by attending both Friday and Saturday).
