A gay man from South Africa was reportedly stoned to death this week, according to Gay Star News.
The website reports that the body of Skumbuzo Harold Mkefile, 24, was discovered Tuesday by a passerby in Booysens Park, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The young man’s body was found half naked in a field and surrounded by bloody rocks and stones.
Mkefile’s head was reportedly smashed in and tattered woman’s clothes were also found hear his body.
The victim’s friends and family told the newspaper the Afrikaans Son (via Mamba Online) that they believe Mkefile was attacked “because he was openly gay and often wore women’s clothing.”
